The Fort Myers Derby Girls will have their final home bout of the 2012 season on at Bamboozles Skating & Events Center against their long time rivals the Gainesville Roller Rebels. Proceeds from the bout will benefit the Lisabet Anna Buesing Foundation helping young, single mothers with breast cancer. Bamboozles is located 2095 Andrea Lane in Fort Myers, Florida. Indie films, indie music, indie show
Enjoy indie films in consideration for the 2013 Fort Myers Film Festival at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, as part of the TGIM: Thank God for Indie Mondays with host Eric Raddatz film series. Local celebrity judges will include Betsy Opyt, Tracy Gray and funny man Jason Conzelman with music by local musician Carley Levy. Admission is $5. The evening will feature the local premiere of “Killer 3D” written and directed by Fort Myers actor Steve Vallo. “Killer 3D” is the story of an intense deal going down between two friends from the underworld. The film stars two Southwest Florida actors, Michael Dunsworth and Shawn Genther.
The TGIM series gets intellectual every Monday through Feb. 25 at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in downtown Fort Myers at 2301 First Street. The third annual film festival will be held March 20-24. For more information, visit www.fortmyersfilmfestival.com.

Monday night football features Chicago BearsDallas Cowboys rivalry
This is a terrific matchup between two of the most awesome fighting teams in the NFL. Let’s hope the refs have their glasses adjusted by then.
