Ever wonder what happened to VIP Mike? You remember him—at the door of all the hottest clubs in and around Naples bringing in the cool SWFL people. Now, have you wondered why there has been such a decrease in Naples night spots lately? I’m not sure but I think it is directly related to the fact that he has been missing. Now, though, Mike has been brewing other things and this December 12 he is officially back! From the mouth of Mike himself (caps his) — “IT’S BEEN 2 YEARS SINCE I’VE HOSTED A PARTY AND ALL I CAN SAY IS “THIS TOWN NEEDS SOMETHING NEW. THIS IS GOING TO BE A PARTY TO REMEMBER. IF YOU WANT A VIP TABLE OR JUST HAVING A HARD TIME GETTING IN…. HER’ES MY #239-298-0284 TEXT ME AND I’LL COME OUTSIDE AND GET YA 😉 VIP MIKE IS BACK NAPLES SO GET READY TO HAVE SOME FUN!” For more information join the Facebook invite page at http://www.facebook.com/events/101671246670404/ Gala at Basin is located at 2355 Vanderbilt Beach Road Suite #200, Naples. Picture 3Talley’s Folly

One weekend left to see why Florida Rep is hailed as “Profoundly Satisfying” by The Wall Street Journal. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize in Drama, Talley’s Folly is a lyrical romance that follows the unlikely courtship of young Sally Talley and her much older Jewish suitor, Matt Friedman. Set in 1944, the play unfolds magically in a Victorian boathouse on the banks of the Missouri River. Matt arrives just at twilight to confess his love to a reluctant Sally, who believes she is no longer capable of loving, but in the play’s final touching moments we see that these may be two kindred spirits. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased at the box office located at  2267 Bay Street, Fort Myers, by visiting www.floridarep.org or by calling 239.332.4488. Talley’s Folly plays through Dec. 16.
